Security Federal Bank in GA

The Beman Group of Blanchard and Calhoun Commercial Division has brokered the purchase of the former Georgia Power branch building at 1607 Walton Way, which now houses Security Federal Bank’s First branch in Augusta’s city limits, and their 17th branch total. This will be one of two new locations they plan to open to serve the Augusta community. When going through the site selection process, the 1607 Walton Way location was a perfect choice considering the existing structure of the building, which already included drive through teller windows on the exterior and teller walk up desks in the interior. This allowed Security Federal to focus giving the building itself the much needed aesthetic improvements that allowed high visibility from their frontage location. As of Tuesday October 8th, it is now open and available to the public. This particular location will house a financial counselor, a financial services officer, and a training team with additional staff to be brought on as the months progress.

We attended the official Ribbon Cutting Ceremony and Networking event on Tuesday the 8th, hosted by SFB President Phil Wahl and the Augusta Metro Chamber of Commerce. It was truly an honor to be able to join some of our city’s top leaders to welcome the Security Federal team to the Medical District. The Security Federal Bank team will occupy 65% of the 10,000 Square Foot building, and will be offering 3500 Square Feet of the existing back office spaces for lease through Blanchard and Calhoun Property Management. We look forward to continuing our strong business partnership and establishing new relationships with like-minded business owners in this wonderfully renovated space.
